Best way to living healthy life: Circadian rhythm
Circadian rhythm is defined as the repetition of the biochemical, physiological, and behavioral rhythms created by the rotation of the earth around its axis, which takes about 24 hours, on living things.
Ancient people had to live according to the sun. Thanks to the light provided by the sun, they could find food and escape from predators. These people, who started the day with the sun, fell asleep with the fall of the night.
The truth is that the centuries-old order of those people is still in our genes. We live with artificial lights that we no longer understand that evening is coming. Unfortunately, there is a problem because people did not develop as fast as technology.
Our genes are encoded to live with the sun. After sunset, we disrupt this order with artificial lights. With the light we are exposed to in the evening, we damage the hormones that we can secrete in the dark.
Our circadian rhythm tells us not to eat after sundown. One of the explanations for this is that the meals eaten at bedtime make us so uncomfortable.
Evenings to refresh ourselves. We give our body new and other tasks by eating during later hours. Thus, our cells cannot be renewed, and this situation steals from our life.
If you want to lose weight and live a healthy life, you should have your dinner as early as possible. If possible, do not eat after sunset. Even things you think are healthy can be harmful if consumed at the wrong time.
Dr. Ayşegül Çoruhlu emphasizes the importance of circadian nutrition. The doctor says that consuming twice as many servings during the day instead of a meal was eaten that evening can help to lose weight
Eating dinner early at the beginning can make you hungry later on. If you continue this diet a little bit, your body will find its rhythm, and you will get used to it over time.
Here are some tips for maintaining your circadian rhythm:
- Use as much red or orange light as possible in the evening.
- Use a bedside lamp at the night. As the sun goes down it’s in below, and your body understands that.
- Use thick curtains or eye patches while sleeping.
- And leave early to eat dinner.
