If you love to eat like me and sometimes go over the limit, I have a few tips for you.

Sometimes when we are sad, sometimes when we are stressed, when we want to punish ourselves according to some studies, and for many other reasons, being full is not a sufficient reason to stop eating. I guess I can overeat sometimes because of all of these. However, there are a few things that keep me in shape.

Then let’s see what should you do after overeating?

  1. First of all, stay calm.

Going out of your routine for a single meal or a single day or even a week isn’t the end of the world. Eating too much doesn’t make you unhealthy unless it’s constant. You haven’t gained weight, you just feel bloated.

2. Move!

You may want to lie down after eating, but light movements will burn your food without being stored. I’m not talking about heavy exercises. I’m not even talking about exercising. It could be washing the dishes or dancing to a song you love. My favorite is a light-paced outdoor walk. Walking for half an hour will calm and relax you and your stomach.

3. Be careful what you drink.

If you are reading this article, I think you are feeling a little restless after eating too much. In other words, the eating crisis has passed, and you do not consume acidic drinks anyway. That’s why I’m eliminating this item. Also, you should not drink the water immediately after the meal. However, after an hour increase your water consumption, and make sure you are not dehydrated. Especially if you ate too much salt, your body will retain water, and you will feel more swollen. You can fix this with water consumption.

Plan your next meal.

You can easily make up for a bad meal with your next meal. If you overeat tonight, make your meal plan for tomorrow. For example, you can consider making a salad with chicken and make a note that you will see it. Making a whole week’s meal plan and doing your grocery shopping according that will prevent you from overeating.

Again, there’s nothing wrong with evasiveness and exaggeration. You are unlikely to gain weight with just one big meal. Don’t get stressed after eating too much and try to avoid possible feelings of guilt.

Love yourself and your food. Everything in this life has a solution. Be sure to include them in an exaggerated meal. Don’t worry about it. Believe me, it’s not worth it. You are more important than your body ❤️

I tell my own story on this platform. As a young woman, I often felt awful after overeating. I realized that this is no longer something to be afraid of and has no solution. I am sharing my own experiences with you because maybe you feel same way sometimes too. I hope this article is good for you. I wish you all the best.

28 days ago, I started a 50-day challenge. One of my goals is in this process to share a post on Medium every day. I am very happy to see my followers increase on this journey. I would appreciate it if you would support me and accompany me on my journey. I hope to see you around.
